High Steppin’ Bulldog Band Webpage. Burke band is under the direction of the best band director in the land (from
our perspective) Mr. Linard McCloud.
In 2005, the Burke High School Marching Band was rated as the 7th best
traditional style band in the country. Ranking high among the many proud
traditions of Burke High School is the highly acclaimed Marching
Bulldog Band. The marching band is recognized for its perfection in musicianship, precision in marching, and innovative, high-energy performances.
The key to the success of “The Best Band in the Land” is its commitment to
artistic excellence, discipline and hard work.
The band is made up of students attending
Burke High School in Charleston, South Carolina.
The BHS Band performs in many band competitions,
home and college football games, and exhibitions throughout the year. (See Calendar link for dates)
